So Linden got the windlight viewer released as main viewer. I like windlight it looks awesome. This release however is as I see it premature, manly because a really needed feature from the old view are totally missing the possibility to from the server steer the lighting settings. With the new added possibilities with lighting in windlight this would really have added to the SL life. It was there in the last main viewer even if more limited than the windlight light options.

There is also some other for me good reasons to hold the update off, yesterday havoc4 came live finally, now a new viewer. As tester moving up two different component at the same time makes the trouble shooting harder. All problems have to be pin pointed more accurate. The possible change set is bigger, backing down and isolation a problem is a bigger work. Then also this week been a hell in stability, both with LL serviced being down and as I think the viewer handling error cases such and not getting the expected result from a failing server making it crash. In 1.18.6.77495 (Windlight with Balp/Nicholaz patches) I have quite few crashed, this week with 1.19.1.RC4, I have not experience one day with less that two crashes, often more, and man many times short after teleporting rezzing a new region, or after crashing logging in rezzing the old region. This week I files 6 different viewer crashes as Jira issues, and one on sound not working. When crashing this much it's started to get really irritation needing to start the viewer two, sometime three times looking at the log to see if I would have sound logging in.

I'm sorry been to busy to write any big things here, but I liked to make a short note about some issues I filed in the JIRA, Five requests for new features.

• VWR-5187 Possibility to copy textures.
• VWR-5030 Add showing texture UUID information even with out full perm
• MISC-962 Create an easy inworld process for getting copyright breaches solved
• MISC-961 About info on textures
• MISC-936 Remove the current age verification

Contest board stuff...

It looks like tome time the text render script don't start as it should when the boards are rezzed, i heard about this in 0.8.4 but it can be more versions out there with this problem. Resetting all scripts in the board seams to solve the the problem. So, select the board, e.g. right click and edit, go into the Tools menu, and select "Reset Scripts in Selections" forth entry from the bottom i my viewer version.

While we are at it, I updated the contest boards and solved a big issue with more that 7 contestants. If you have a boards please update it.

One think i missed in the previous post, thanks for all the bug fixes, the number of bug fixes in one release have not been this high for very long. That's is something I like, now please 1.18.3 Monday with friends and groups detachable from the IM window, That's all I ask for! Please help out with closing VWR-1076, in a way that works with out voice!

I HATE YOU LINDENS! Not because you added voice, because this voice shit HAVE DESTROYED THE TEXT CHAT INTERFACE! The Friends List. All in IN FUCKING SMALL WINDOW. I need then as like it was before to see anything, NOW I CAN FOLLOW IM AND MAIN CHAT ANY MORE PLEASE FIX NOW!!!!!!!

Ok. that was possibly to configure, but the group and friend list wont come out of that window and that's even more irritating!

I have at "best" only 35 friend online... Seeing four at a time in the list won't work!
I need that window to be almost as high as the screen. I most of the time have 10 -20 im's running, I need to be able to used the full screen width of the tabs with IM's the new client only lets me combine this if i cover the full screen with chat and IM. Really nice? NOT!!!!



This is my window layout, I like it, give me back the friends list! NOW! Please! Give me back the group swap window, now please, That two might be combined. The New Chat stuff in the IM I never liked, now that's the only one left. :-(

More updates, Raul Crimson, made a really nice observation earlier. Balp, have written a open letter. Any other reactions I have missed, comment here or send me mail.
